The Southey Senior Citizens Club was built and incorporated in 1978. The Club is located at 132 Keats Street in Southey, Saskatchewan, the town named after English poet Robert Southey.
The building has been transformed from 2016 to present with upgrades such as installing Air Conditioning, an Acoustical Ceiling, laying new vinyl plank Floor, complete A/V equipment with a large screen television and built in ceiling speakers; a beautiful new Kitchen, new Windows and blinds, an upgraded wheel chair ramp, a new storage room and covered deck and of course a fresh coat of paint throughout.
These renovations were accomplished with funds from grants such as the Canada 150 Grant, New Horizons for Seniors Grants, Conexus Credit Union Grant, CIF Grant. The renovations gave our volunteers inclusion within the Revitalization Project while employing our local contractors.
